Service-provider authorisation
In-scope crypto-asset service providers must be authorised or operate under another status permitted by law.
European crypto-asset markets
The European Union framework for crypto-assets and related service providers. This page explains its scope, what it means for SDB Wallet users and the limits of our regulatory status.
This page provides general information. It is not legal advice and does not claim that SDB Wallet or Axis X is authorised as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) under MiCA. Availability to an EU customer depends on the entity providing the service, the service itself, the Member State and any applicable authorisation or lawful arrangement.
MiCA regulates the issuance of certain crypto-assets and services relating to them where they fall within scope, with requirements for transparency, conduct and operational safeguards.

Clearer information about a crypto-asset, its features, risks and the entity behind it.
Rules on custody, records, complaints, conflicts and business continuity depending on the service.
Controls addressing market abuse, insider dealing and manipulation.
Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 was published and the implementation process began.
Rules for asset-referenced tokens and e-money tokens started to apply.
Most CASP requirements and the remaining MiCA framework started to apply.
Some states may allow a shorter transition for existing providers. Operating in transition is not MiCA authorisation.
Regulatory protection attaches to the specific entity providing the service, not simply to an app or group brand.
When relying on MiCA authorisation, verify the ESMA and national authority registers rather than a badge or marketing claim.
Ask who holds the asset or key, how client assets are segregated and what happens if the service stops.
Regulation does not remove price volatility, network risks or possible loss. Protection varies by asset and service.
SDB Wallet approach
We use MiCA as a core reference when assessing crypto-asset services in Europe. Before an in-scope European service is offered, the provider entity, legal classification, authorisation, disclosure, custody and anti-money-laundering requirements must be established.
Official sources
We rely on primary regulatory material. Technical rules and interpretations can change, so always consult the latest EU and national competent-authority publications.
This page does not claim that SDB Wallet or Axis X holds a MiCA CASP authorisation. Any regulatory status or service provider must be disclosed by legal name before the relevant European service is made available.
No. MiCA creates rules for transparency, conduct and authorisation, but it does not remove price volatility, technology risks or the possibility of loss.
Not necessarily. Scope depends on the asset and service. Some instruments may fall under other EU financial-services law or outside parts of MiCA.
Check the exact legal entity in ESMA and national competent-authority registers, then confirm the service you need is covered by that authorisation.
