SDBC.
The foundation of SDB Chain.

SDBC is the native coin of SDB Chain — an EVM-compatible blockchain that is still in development. It pays network fees, secures the network through staking, and lets projects issue their own tokens and deploy smart contracts on the chain.

What is SDBC?

The coin that runs the network

SDBC is the native coin of SDB Chain, playing the same role ETH plays on Ethereum: it pays for transactions and smart-contract execution, and validators stake it to secure the network.

The network is built on Cosmos EVM and works with familiar Ethereum tools, so any project can issue ERC‑20 tokens and deploy contracts on it. SDBC is not a stablecoin: it is not pegged to the dollar or any other currency, and it is not backed by reserves.

Network fees

Every transaction and smart-contract call on SDB Chain is paid for in SDBC.

Network security

Validators stake SDBC to secure consensus and take part in producing blocks.

EVM-compatible

The same wallets, tools and contracts known across the Ethereum ecosystem.

Built for projects

Any project can issue its own token and deploy smart contracts on the network.

Uses

What SDBC does on the network

Technical uses within SDB Chain. The network is still in development — what follows describes the design, not a service available today.

Staking

Stake SDBC with validators to help secure consensus.

On-chain transfers

Send SDBC between addresses on SDB Chain.

Transaction fees

Pay for transactions and smart-contract execution.

Token issuance

Projects issue ERC‑20 tokens on the network and pay deployment fees in SDBC.

Smart contracts

Deploy and run EVM-compatible contracts on the network.

Decentralised apps

Build applications on the network that use SDBC for their fees.

How the network works

From transaction to confirmation

A simplified look at a transaction’s journey on SDB Chain.

01

Transaction

A user sends a transaction and pays its fee in SDBC.

02

Validators

Validators receive the transaction and verify it.

03

Block

Valid transactions are gathered into a new block.

04

Confirmation

Validators agree on the block and it becomes final.

05

Permanent record

The transaction stays on the chain and can be verified.

Specifications

SDBC technical specifications

The basics confirmed so far. Tokenomics (supply, allocation and fees) has not been decided yet and will be announced officially once approved.
