Licensing & partners

Who holds your money,
and under whose licence.

This page answers one question without hedging: when your money arrives, where does it actually sit, and which licensed institution is holding it. Every number below can be checked at its source.

How SDB Wallet is built

Your money is held at a licensed credit institution supervised by the financial regulator in Luxembourg, in an account with an IBAN that is yours — not in a company account, and not behind a shared reference.

SDB Wallet builds the product and holds your relationship; holding the funds and executing payments happen at licensed financial institutions, each under its own licence — named below.

Legal identity: SDB wallet LLC · Dubai, United Arab Emirates · commercial licence 2652156.01. An independent banking licence is a goal we are working towards.

The chain, link by link

From the moment a transfer is sent to where the money rests.

  1. The company running the app

    SDB Wallet

    Legal name
    SDB wallet LLC
    Licence
    2652156.01
    Jurisdiction
    Dubai, UAE

We build the product, verify your identity, open your account, and run your balance, transfers and remittances. Choosing the licensed institutions that hold the money — and supervising that relationship — is ours.

  2. The partner opening the accounts

    Bridge

    Role
Currency accounts · SEPA & ACH · settlement

Our direct partner. They issue your account details and run the rails.

  3. The bank your euro transfer lands at

    Banking Circle S.A.

    CSSF — Luxembourg
    Institution no.

    Trade register
    B222.310
    BIC
    BCIRLULL

A credit institution authorised in Luxembourg. Your euro IBANs are issued over its network — which is why they begin with LU.

  4. The bank your dollar transfer lands at

    Lead Bank

    Jurisdiction
    United States
    Rails
    ACH, FedNow, Wire

US dollar accounts with an account number and routing number.

And pounds: your GBP account runs on an account number and sort code over Faster Payments, through the same partner. The name of the institution holding it is not something we have on record — and we will not print a name we cannot stand behind.

Where SDB Wallet holds its own accounts

Our operating accounts are held at global banking institutions: Banking Circle S.A. in Luxembourg for euros, Citibank N.A. in New York for dollars, and Citibank in London for pounds.

We do not publish the account numbers. Any payment request reaching you in SDB Wallet's name should be verified inside the app or through support — never from a public page or a message.

Everyone else we work with

KYCAID

Identity verification — document reading and face matching.

ChangeNOW

Crypto swaps our banking partner does not carry.

Axis X Group

Technical partner — app development and publishing to the app stores.

Your balance, and what happens to it

Your balance stays in its currency: euros are euros, dollars are dollars, pounds are pounds — and you withdraw to your bank account in the same currency you see on screen, with no conversion and no hidden spread.

Customer balances are fully backed: an automated check compares what is backed against what is owed every night, and any gap alerts us before it can reach you.

How to check for yourself

Banking Circle’s licence

Published on their regulatory page with the institution and trade-register numbers, supervised by the CSSF.

Our Dubai licence — plainly

It is 2652156.01, and it is stated in our terms. But free-zone companies are not all listed on the federal register, and Meydan has no public licence-number lookup. So there is no external source we can point you to today — and we would rather say that than leave it out.

The same statements appear in the agreement you sign, not only here.
